Skills Development

The Skills Development Program is conducted in the Rainbow Room every day.

Here children are assisted on a one to one or small group basis to help develop any skills needing that little bit of extra attention.

We liaise closely with the child’s family and Allied Health professionals to plan and implement individualised programs for children.

Games and fun are the basis of these programs. The children love the Rainbow Room.

Preschool Introduction

The Introduction to Preschool Program is conducted each day in Yellow Room and is suitable for children aged 3-4 years.

This program focuses on building social and emotional skills, confidence, and supporting the development of self-help skills.

Children in Yellow Room are offered placements for 1 or 2 days a week.

School Readiness

The School Readiness program is conducted each day in the Blue and Green Rooms and focuses on preparing children for kindergarten.

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, and we offer experiences that develop Childrens':

  • identities,

  • ability to follow routines,

  • ability care for their belongings

  • literacy and numeracy skills

  • social and emotional skills

We believe that children thrive when they feel confident, safe and secure. Children in the School Readiness Program are offered placements for 2 or 3 days a week.

Supported Care

This program supports children who may need one to one care.

Our service welcomes children with a disability and values inclusiveness.

The preschool may employ a Support Assistant if it is necessary to best support your child at preschool.

Caring For Our World

We value nature and caring for our world at preschool.

We believe that the future of our children lies in being aware of our impact on nature and the environment. Our Program embeds these principals.

This approach is reflected in many ways, including our use of reclaimed materials for art projects, our vegie patch and chickens.

Community Connection

We place a great importance on connecting our families with the local community.

We offer regular excursions, family BBQ's, shows, networking and other community services

Exceeding Standards

In November 2013 and 2018 the Preschool received an accreditation rating of “Exceeding National Quality Standard.”

We do not regard ourselves as child carers, but educators.

Our preschool invites your child to “come, play and learn.” We recognise that each child is an individual with special abilities, interests, and background.

We have a large newly modified accessible outdoor area providing a safe, fun filled environment for children of all abilities.

The 16 well trained staff take pride in their profession and believe that caring for your child is a privilege. We provide a space where the emphasis is on learning through play but also structured learning.
